golden rule anyone? truly…what happened to ‘treat others the way you want to be treated’ crap…do you have ANY fucking clue how long i’ve tried to uphold this sanctimonious attitude? well, i say far too long. i think it’s time to re-interpret this statement and rule and make it a bit more active instead of passive…how about i stop treating others the way i want them to treat me, and how about i start TREATING them the way they treat others? it seems logistically that it’s only fair. let me help you out. ex 1: hey, yeah i’m your friend, and i’m going to totally fuck up our friendship and make you mistrust and dislike me….because i’m selfish. so now…in regards to this, if someone has treated ME a certain way, and based on these standards, that means they are treating others the way they want to be treated, right? so then it’s fair game to FUCK your world…i’ll treat YOU like you treat OTHERS. sounds beautiful to me. the new epiphany is rising, you’re making me see clearly now…and i think i’m going to like it. treat me like shit…then i’m going to believe that’s just how you want me to treat you…and i will. it goes all directions…i’ll give you what you give me, i think that’s only fair. and yes…the comment in the meeting today…so meaningless and yet so insinuatory and direct…”it taught me how to deal with children…” and that’s the behavior i see.
